Tajik Air (IATA Code: 7J, ICAO Code: TZK, Callsign: TAJIKISTAN) is the national airline of Tajikistan, based at Dushanbe Airport (IATA Code: DYU). Founded in 1924, it is one of the oldest airlines in the world, and is the only civilian airline in the country. Recent deregulation of Tajik airspace has meant Tajik Air has faced increasing competition from rivals, which has resulted in a recent fall in passenger numbers; however, the airline is undergoing a modernization of its fleet and services to encourage passengers to return.
