The Orient Express Hotel is one of the newest hotels in Sirkeci, Istanbul having been opened in 1999, providing valued accommodations for the location of the hotel. Despite its small accommodations, the hotel boasts of a small swimming area in the basement. The rooms have brand new furniture and accommodations with tasteful colour schemes and light marble floorings in all the rooms. One of the bars in the hotel was inspired by the traditional “Orient Express” train and it is from this that the name of the hotel was taken. The building still retained its traditional Ottoman design from its original private residential origins.
