Cheap Flights to Caracas, Venezuela

Caracas is not only the capital of Venezuela, it is the gateway to this beautiful South American country. Simon Bolivar International Airport of Maiquetia (CCS), (in Caracas it is simply known as Maiquetia) is located approximately 13 miles south of the downtown district. CCS is the main hub for SBA airlines and services many locations throughout South America, North America, Europe and the Middle East region. For better deals on airfare to Caracas, try traveling on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays rather than Mondays, Fridays, and the weekends as ondays are a favorite of business travelers, and the weekends are popular for those traveling for pleasure. Cheap flights to Caracas may also be found in the off-season, so try traveling in the summer months or during the rainy season, which lasts from April to October. During the rainy season, however, you will still be able to look forward to six hours per day of sunshine as showers take place around noon. If Caracas is not your final destination in Venezuela, keep in mind that the northwestern part of the country has a drier climate on average than the rest of the country.

While traveling to CCS in Caracas, keep in mind that the airport is currently expanding and updating its safety procedures. There are new international gates opening every year to service more areas and security measures are updated about as often as those in the U.S. There is also a new airport hotel opening on the premises sometime in the near future to serve your needs.
