If you are looking for cheap flights, consider ones that go through Tokyo, Japan; Bangkok, Thailand; or another major gateway city instead of flying direct. This way you can save some cash over flying nonstop to your destination. Another tip is to consider flights into Beijing, China, or Seoul, South Korea. You can take the bus or train to get between the cities. Look for inexpensive flights on no frills Europe airlines. Although it will take longer to arrive at your destination you will save some money. Finally, consider traveling on a lesser known carrier. Aeroflot is the national airline, but SAT Airlines, Siberia Airlines, and other airlines also stop in Vladivostok.
