The one and only international airport in Cebu is the Mactan International Airport which is located in the city of Mactan. It has different airlines from which you can inquire about cheap air flights, promotions, packages and cheap deals. It is advisable to travel on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays since these days offer the cheapest airfares. Mondays and weekends are more expensive due to business and holiday travelers who plan to stay longer. If you want to save money, you may not want to travel on these days. If there are no direct flights from your place of departure, you may want to consider a flight to Manila and from there you have other options. You can travel through a train, a bus or ferry or take another flight. The airlines that usually have flights to Cebu include Air Philippines, the Cebu Pacific Air, and South East Asian Airlines and Asian Spirit. Traveling by bus or train will save you some money but will also take a bit longer. Another way to save money on your flights is through connecting flights in Bangkok, New Delhi or other important gateway cities rather than just traveling direct. Since there are additional flights in these areas, the ticket prices are relatively lower due to the availability of low budget airlines. Traveling through lesser-known but still reliable airline companies may also save money on airfare. Philippine Airlines is the national flag carrier but other airlines such as China Airlines, Singapore Airlines and others also fly this route. During peak holiday seasons airfares are usually more expensive so if you want to save, visit Cebu during off-peak seasons. The national events and festivals are also one of the reasons for airfare hikes due to the increased number of tourists visiting so make note of these dates and try to book your flights before or after to save some money. It really pays to consider all the options you have prior to your travel to Cebu. This will let you see all different options which you can choose in order to save money. Early booking is another way to save money as well as time as last minute flights are more expensive than planned flights so it is best to book your reservations a few months before your actual flight.
