Estonian Air is the national air carrier of Estonia, which is owned by the Estonian State, SAS Group and investment bank AS Cresco. It is based at the Tallinn airport. It operates on international routes and also provides the service of charter flights. Its fleet consists of six aircrafts, out of which three are Boeing 737-500s, one is a Boeing 737-300 and two are Saab 340s.

Estonian Air operates scheduled and charter flight services to Europe. It also provides charter flight services to North Africa, Arabian States and other Mediterranean countries. Estonian Air offers the facility of both online check-in as well as check-in at the airport for its passengers. Online check-in can be done on the day of departure and the passengers can select their seat, print the boarding pass as well as enter their EuroBonus (Frequent Flyer program) card number. The passengers can drop off their baggage at the fast baggage drop desk and proceed to the security gate.

For check-in at the airport, the passengers are required to check-in at the counter two hours prior to the scheduled departure time. The counter closes 35 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

Estonian Air also offers the facility of check-in a day before the scheduled departure. The passengers can check-in and drop off their bags a day in advance prior to the scheduled flight departure. They can arrive 45 minutes before flight time on the day of departure and proceed to the security gate.


Estonian Air allows free baggage of 66 lbs to be checked-in for Business and Flexible Economy class. Free baggage allowance for Economy class passengers is 44 lbs. The maximum permitted weight for the check-in baggage should not exceed 70 lbs. Excess baggage is charged per pound at the rate specified by the airline.

The carry-on baggage allowance is only one piece of hand baggage per passenger. The maximum weight of the bag should not exceed 18 lbs and the maximum dimension of the bag should be 18x14x9".


A child less than 24 months is considered an infant. Estonian Air allows infants to travel on an adult's lap. Infants are allowed to travel on a seat only if it sits by itself on a seat or a car seat, and in such case the child fare would be applicable. The airline allows two infants per adult. One infant can travel on lap and the other in the car seat/or on the seat. In such cases, one infant fare and one child fare would be applicable. Infant fare is 10% of the total adult fare and child fare is 67% of the total adult fare. It allows carriage of one stroller and a car seat, provided it meets the conditions specified by them.


A child between the ages of five to 11 traveling without an adult is considered an unaccompanied minor. Estonian air provides this service at a charge of 500 EEK/32euros (international), 240EEK/16euros (domestic) per flight for up to two children in one family. It provides this facility from the point of check-in until the child has been handed over to the parent/guardian at the final destination. In case of an overnight stay or transfer between two stops, it is the responsibility of the parents/guardian to arrange for transfer escort.


Pets such as dogs and cats are allowed in cabin provided they are in a pet carrier of dimension 18x14x8" and maximum weight of 18 lbs (including pet and the carrier). They would be charged an excess baggage fee.

Service dogs are allowed to travel in cabin free of cost, and they are also excluded from the weight limitation and container requirements.

The authorization to carry a pet or service animal should be obtained in advance from the reservation office.

Frequent Flyer Program

Estonian Air offers the program EuroBonus for its frequent flyers. The passengers can become a member of this program and accumulate points for travel with each flight. These points can later be redeemed for a flight ticket, hotel booking, car rental or other offer provided by the program. The points can also be used by family, friends or relatives.

In-Flight Services

Estonian Air offers free meals and beverages to its Business Class and Flexible Economy class passengers. Economy class passengers can purchase the meals and beverages at an additional cost paid via credit card or cash (EEK, EUR and destination currency).
