Montego Bay and Kingston are the two locations Air Jamaica flies to and from. From one of these locations, travelers can fly to the Caribbean Islands of Barbados, Cuba, Curacao, Nassau and Grenada; North American cities including the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. area, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia and Toronto; and, thanks to their alliance with Virgin Atlantic, London.

Passengers with electronic tickets traveling in groups of less than ten passengers can check-in electronically, from the convenience of their home through the website. They can select their seats, enter their required check-in information and print their check-in confirmation. Electronic check-in must be done within one-and-a-half to 24 hours before take-off. After printing their confirmation, passengers can go to the Web Check-In counter at the airport, check any luggage they have and go through all of the security checks. If a passenger doesn't have baggage to check, he can go straight to the boarding gate area and proceed with his document verification.

Passengers with luggage will want to arrive at the Check-In counter a minimum of one and a half hours prior to their scheduled departure. Those without luggage should arrive a minimum of one hour prior if traveling outside of Jamaica, or 45 minutes if traveling within Jamaica. Luggage allowance varies within the different flight areas of the Caribbean, US, Canada and Europe. Depending on where passengers are traveling to and which class they're traveling in, baggage allowance varies from two to three pieces of checked luggage, and one or two carry-ons. Baggage claim is free, with the exception of an additional second or third piece of baggage to or from the Barbados/Granada area, which charges a US$25 fee.

Infant seats are accepted in the cabin when an additional seat is purchased for the infant. There are no special discounts given for purchasing an additional seat for an infant seat.

The service charge also varies depending on the destination. Reservations must be made at least 48 hours before the flight, and the reserving parent or guardian must accompany the minor to the airport. Required customs and immigration forms must be filled out before Air Jamaica takes custody of the minor. Minors will only be released to the person matching the name on the form.
