Aerolineas Argentinas is the national airline carrier of Argentina. It is the largest international and domestic airline carrier in the country, and it is responsible for 52 percent of the country's international flights and 83 percent of domestic flights. Check In

Web check-in is offered by Aerolineas Argentinas for those who have acquired an electronic ticket. With the web check-in, you will only be asked to enter your personal information, select your seat and print your boarding pass. Those with paper tickets, children traveling alone and those who will need any kind of special assistance should check-in personally at the counters.

For domestic flights, those who are to check-in at the airport should arrive at least 45 minutes before the flight. Those traveling with baggage for check-in should arrive at least one hour before the flight. All needed documents should be brought along for check-in.


Hand bags have a maximum weight of 11 lbs for domestic flights and 22 lbs for international flights. The airline imposes restrictive measures for any baggage containing hazardous materials.

The airline gives baggage allowance to all passengers for no additional cost. For check-in baggage, weight limit is 33 lbs for Economy Class and 66 lbs for Club Condor Class on domestic flights. Weight allowance is 50 lbs for Economy Class and 70 lbs for Club Condor Class for international flights. The weight limits, however, may vary depending on your destination.


Infants under two years old are not entitled to a seat and should travel with his parent/guardian as a lap baby. Only one infant can travel with one adult. The airline does not accept infants who are less than seven days old to travel with the airline. They cannot travel using a mobile car-seat for safety reasons, and will only be allowed to sit on an adult's lap. For domestic flights, infants traveling will incur no cost. For international flights, however, infants are charged a fee of 10% of the total airfare.

Passengers bringing infants should carry all necessary documents.


Any minor who is two to four years old is not allowed to travel alone and is not eligible for an unaccompanied minor service. Children aged five years old and onwards can use the unaccompanied minor service. If not using the service, then the minor must travel with an adult who is at least 18 years old.

Parents or guardians of minors who are at least five to 16 years old should provide all the necessary information about the person collecting the child including the name, surname, number and type of the identity card to ensure the safety of the child.


Although transportation of pets is allowed on the airline, there are a series of documentations and procedures that a passenger should be able to comply and follow. This applies for domestic and wild animals to be transported. For this reason, passengers with animals and pets should book arrangements with the airline in advance.

All animals and pets traveling with the airline will be checked-in. No animal will be allowed inside the passenger cabin. Only guide dogs traveling with a passenger will be allowed, although there are only a limited number of guide dogs that are allowed in every flight. Note that all pets and animals are subject to availability of space. If the animal is to travel without a passenger, it will be shipped via cargo.
